Falcon San Remo in proses of Rebuilding. 531 Frame with Campagnolo Dropouts front and rear. Chrome Rear ends and half of Fork. Chrome on Front . Serial no M29907 with letters RGF also number match Fork steerer. Trying to find rough Years 50s or 60s. The colour was Dark Blue painted by previous owner . Underneath After rub down Brown or copper seems to be the colour. On Fork on bottom Light Blue. Got the frame with no Decor or Components. Can someone help with the right colour. Also my fork Crown is different than other San remo Bikes.

As Falcon cycles didn't come into being until the late 50's it would point to the 60's . The long spear point lugs seem to imply late 60's to 70's.

Found This On internet. Looks the same. Falcon San Marco Model 80. Photo from WCCSC Catalog. Falcon san Remo _61

It looks as if the rear triangle and the head tube lugs are chromed. Is that the case? If it is, then because it has the round wrap-around set cluster rather than the flattened version (as in my title picture) then it would almost certainly be a model 80 San Remo (announced January 1960). It should take a 26.6 seat post, meaning it is Reynolds 531 plain tube.
If it does have the chrome as above, it would look good with those not painted over (or it will just look like an Olympic!). The chromed head lugs seem to have been dropped later in favour of the model 76 San Remo (team replica) was in production which then became the top model with DB tubing.

In the 1960s the copper finish was one of the more popular colours for the higher level Falcons.

This is the copper colour on my 1960 Super Route frame. Note the different font for "Falcon" on the down tube. This lasted until 1961.

Thank you for all the help. What i read its a San remo Model 80 with Crome Head lugs and half front chrome on fork and rear stays. 1961/ 1962 Looking at Decor stickers and contact Lloyd . Show me decals With Lincolnshire. Think its wrong. Others i found show a Eagle on the down tube under saddle.Think thats more suitable. Will post a new photo of the frame been resprayed , weather just dont let me. Components on this Bike with campagnolo dropouts Is also a problem. Its expensive to go Campagnolo but can be done over time. Think of fitting Suntour Will see. Any advise on Decor. Many thanks izak

Here is a picture from the 1960 catalogue and also the advert from January 1960, when the bike was announced. They show how it was finished in the factory. Note that the font on the down tube is not the one in LLoyd's catalogue. Throughout the 1960s they used the type shown here. Also, the eagle transfer and the smaller Made in Lincolnshire one are much later. They didn't move to Lincolnshire until about 1968, so yours is made in Birmingham Blue is a good colour for a San Remo.
