Hi guys selling this frame and both forks forks Cinelli tubing with Shimano drop-out,s. This is an extremely light frame originally after speaking with Pip the owner of Stonehenge Cycles the tubing was thought to be KL. After talking with a few people it is more likely to be SL or a mix of tubing, the Tange headset is NOS from the mid 80,s
This is an 1982/3 ex TDF Lo Pro according to Pip the owner of Stonehenge Cycles it was one of three frames purchased in 1983/4 after the TDF. I spoke to Pip who remembers buying these frames but not who the riders were. Apparently there were two Gazelle,s, this one was then sold to a customer and re-sprayed with the Stonehenge Cycles applied. The blue forks are original to the bike the chrome are not.
There is a bit of paint loss on the ST where the tyre rubbed on the paint the clearances on this bike are minimal a couple of mm, I picked up a leaf and some mud on the rear tub while out riding. The rest of the paint is beautiful a metallic blue to plum fade and it looks amazing in the sun.
So a very beautiful and pretty rare frame, I have no idea who rode this, it may have been raced or a spare who knows.
The all important dimensions
ST.....54cm
TT....50cm
This is an extremely tight geo frame I am 5'10" and with the 90mm stem and Moser 51.151 bars was a perfect fit. Compact but comfortable Lo Pro,s are hard to size, in my experience of them it always seems to be how they feel to ride. The pic of the built up bike is just to show how it looks you are buying the frame/forks/headset, Lo Pro wheel set Mavic hubs on profile rims, new tubs, stem and bars.
This is an extremely rare frame
Anyway looking for £280
Going on the bay if no interest here
Andy
