in 1992 i went to my first big race, the worlds at bromont. my ride then was a 1992 stumpjumper - the purple one with full dx.
long story short, met a guy in the parking lot on a beautiful 88 ritchey. we actually ended up trading cantilevers....my 92 low profile dx ones for his 88 triangle xt's.
even at the height of what i consider the retro era, i had a taste for clumsy archaism.
