End of Peterborough VCC

Had quite a few rides with some of these folk in the ‘80s and ‘90s when part of another cycle club. Sad to see they only had 30 members left and half of those immobile. I’m in my 40s and can remember going to not just well attended rides but also huge social gatherings with clubs similar to this one. It was not unusual for 40 people to be out for the day riding then be fed sausage and mash at someone’s house after the ride out, great times!

Some amazing bikes in their last ride out. Shame to see the demise of these clubs and also old shops slowly disappearing from the landscape.

40 people to be out for the day riding then be fed sausage and mash at someone’s house after the ride out, great times!

Now that does sound great!!!
