For sale my Ellis Briggs Favori. I bought it here with intend to refurbish it on a budget and pass to my friend, but after inspection I've found a crack in place where steerer column connects with fork crown, so I sent it Ellis Briggs for repair and full respray in lovely sky blue polychromatic paint (that cost me £230). Lug lining added by me.
The frame is 1968, Reynolds 531, 56cm Favori frame with Zeus dropouts, equipped with:
- Campagnolo Super Record headset - very good condition,
- Cinelli A1 stem with old oval logo (120mm c-c) and Giro d'Italia Handlebar with crest (395mm c-c or 410 outside-outside), there's some lack of chrome of the stem quill bolt and handlebar on the sleeve has been deanodised and polished. Handlebar is wrapped in white leather with nice light blue stitching matching the frame colour.
- Brake calipers and levers are the first gen of Shimano Dura-Ace with overall good condition, very light rust on chromed parts just serious lack of chrome on brake pads adjusters, brand new Cane Creek hoods (not perfect fit, but almost...), light scratches on the levers. There are matching 1st gen Shimano dura-ace cable clips.
- Campagnolo Record seatpost,
- A saddle re-covered with the same leather as the handlebar, so matching very nicely.
- Campagnolo Record gearset - shifters, front and rear derailleur in very good condition
- Very nice and quite rare Ofmega Crankset (There's one dust cap missing) and bottom bracket. I replaced bottom bracket spindle with NOS one, because original one was badly pitted.
- Wheels are Ambrosio Prisma rims and I think that these are Miche Superfast hubs, but I'm not sure, sapim stainless spokes. Old Specialized Turbo RK amber wall tyres, 25 (25 is nominal in reality it's more 19-20), super slick and almost unused.
- Suntour new winner freewheel (sometimes skips on one of the cogs).
- Zeus quill pedals with Ale Rapid toe clips and Christophe toe straps.
