Dear all,

A well-known collector is beginning to let go of some of his very large collection. They are up on the auction site now.

Several rare English road-path frames from the 30s to the early 50s...plus another, a road frame that would be classed as a 'Keeper of the Flame'.

They are:-

1952 22.5" R.O.HARRISON Madison/Omnium R-T superbly enigmatic in its coat of Arctic Ice Blue. 230604738197;

1953 22.5" GILLOTT Spearpoint-lugged frame R-T- delightful in Papal Purple enamel. - 230605337414;

1930s/40s HIGGINS ULTRALITE 23", lugged R-T - newly stove enamelled - gloriously understated in Bianchi grey/green. 230604800156;

1952 22.5" CLAUD BUTLER 'Avant Coureur' (possibly New Allrounder) - sparklingly attractive in metallic sky blue. 230604872637;

1970s/80s 22.5" CHRIS MARSHALL 'KOF' road and TT frame - shatteringly
bright in sunburst red flam-over gold with chrome ..and Nervex MkII. 230605308930.

The first four have had full renovations using stove enameled finished with two coats of clear varnish, whereas the last has benefited from a very subtle face-lift that has retained most of the patina, but rendered it more subtle.

None of the first four have been ridden in the last thirty years whereas the last one was last ridden about 12 years ago...so there's plenty of lost miles to be made up for.

All work was carried out by skilled craftsman-frame-builder and enameler Chris Marshall.

Cheers,

LL
