Easton Elan 3 Frame

This is my Easton Elan 3 bike frame from circa 1995. I've owned it from new but for the last 13 years it's sat in my shed so it's time to move it on.

To be honest I don't know a great deal about this frame. It was an insurance replacement and at the time cost about £400 and it rode really nice and light. The frame is unbranded and consists of an Easton main triangle with a 7005 rear seat and chain stays. It is 19" but with the dropped top tube the effective is 17.5".

It needs a bit of TLC. The lacquer is crazed and a seat stay water bottle boss was damaged when my seat post slipped on one ride (bottom image). I did get a quote from Argos once to fix it but never got round to it.

It would probably make nice retro build and at one point had these forks on it.

It will come with seat collar, used Kalloy seat post and BB (I think this was a UN51 but will check).

£55 posted or £40 collected

I can get more photos if requested.
