Yes - by me. This is it when I was finished. Later sold on to fund a Hope HB160Nope, came like that. Eventually I sold it on and I think it was stripped, dents filled and sprayed in traditional white/black.
Great paint remover as well. Smooth.Caustic soda is foolproof, albeit nasty. No damage to frame integrity. Good work

When I did it to my Explosif it cleared that seattube like a pre colonoscopy colon and made the paint around the clamp area into a nice juice
I am by no means good at painting bikes but I like Montana Gold range for painting. Thin layers with 1 hour in between through the day, leave to cure 24h, wet sand, repeat process day after until it has build up a nice durable coat and is smooth. People swear by etch primers so that's probably a good bet. I'm more interested in it lasting than it looking good, as I only paint the frames for rust protection.Whats the favourite DIY paint method in your experience?
