Drop Bar Pace RC200

Thanks for the info- I'm thinking similar: at present I have some exotic carbon forks, which I could drop in my 700c or 26" wheelset as required.

I'm pretty much set on this being road only though so depending on how wierd it looks with wide/straight carbon forks I might switch to some sleeker road forks and abandon any idea of sticking 26's on it... which is fairly unlikely anyway!

That's a well thought out build. Hell, it's got a Rolls saddle so I could pop my arse on it and feel right at home!

I rode a Pace RC200 and found it was too stiff for my liking off-road. On the rode with 100+ PSI I bet
this thing shifts.....well up with road bikes I imagine with a lot more interest.

Saw your post about the stem:
System EX high rise stems are on ebay.co.uk. A drop of acetone and gentle rub the logo comes straight off.

Bonkers as people have already said but I do like it, they do make great road bikes, I've kept mine very MTB but still great on the road it puzzles many young roadies who think its a road frame with flat bars.

It's got slightly more bonkers now - currently sporting a set of Stans Alpha 400's tubeless Road rims on Novatec disc hubs with Schwalbe tubeless 25mm tyres - dropped 700g over the old 29er wheelset.

It won't keep them long as there is a modern carbon road bike waiting for them which will become my main road rider.

As for the Pace ? I have a hankering to show the Marketing Droids what a real Gravel Bike should look like
