Drilling out cable stops 🛠️

these are the ones fitted to my commuter bike. its a 1998 Giant ATX830.

Nice one, cheers @geddy1972 - I'll have to give these a try before I break out the power tools I'd not seen ones with the little clamp arm either, they actually look pretty good

Isn't this just a less neat solution than a simple zip tie of the cable alongside the existing stops?

zip ties rub off the paint though, unless of course you electrical tape underneath first.

Surprisingly not seen these on Big Ali even though I often buy muqzi stuff. Gotta get these. Very neat solution as someone who prefers full housing

I've filed out the cable stops on a couple of Kona's and 6mm Hope hose slides through nicely even after powder coat. You can even get an insert for the drilled out stops to reinstate an interrupted outer housing should you ever feel the need to return to original.
