dream bike 1998 Yeti DH6

Senior Retro Guru
So I'm very guilty of buying way too many bikes this year. The wife has been quite understanding. Though now I need to clear out some stuff out of the garage. Its all because of bikes like this turn up and I have to have them. The old DH4/6s are my favorite Yetis, never thought I would get one. Finally did the other day. I'm going to need some wisdom from the gurus on this board. Right now I have the frame and a 1998 Boxxer off of Leigh Donovans 1998 Mongoose/Intense race bike. So I'm leaning to actually doing a 1998 DH period build. Its a complicated bike for my abilities. The frame has seen some miles but appears to be in good shape.

Re:

I made some headway today. Cleaned off most of the old sticker residue from the swingarms. Also sourced a build Ringle rear wheel, 12mm thru axle. Very stoked on that fast find. Here are some shots of parts collected for the build. Going to be a mix of old Race Face and Kore.

Re:

Here is Leigh Donovan's old Boxxer. I already have a front wheel. Tires will be a pair of Kenda Nevegals. My go to tire. Also ODI lock grips. Still need a rear brake. That is going to be a tough one for me.

Sram stuff. Never ridden Sram before. Always Shimano but trying something different.
