does ebay money back guarantee cover bicycles?

Apologies in advance if I am posting to the wrong forum - i wasn't sure if this was an "off-topic" or not.

I noticed that ebay money back guarantee says that "vehicles" are not covered. So I was curious if anybody has actually tried to use ebay guarantee for a package that was not delivered/ etc....

Reason I ask is because I won an auction, which I will be happy to pay if ebay guarantees - but there are 3 points of concern:
1. item is in Poland
2. seller has 0 feedback
3. Item seems to have sold 3 times in the last two months, but seller has still 0 feedback (so I am assuming that those transactions did not complete for some reason or another).

anyway, I was curious if anyone can definitely tell me if ebay covers bicycles.

thank you in advance!

the simple answer is, yes it does.

0 feedback & item sold 3 times previously, that doesnt look too promising

Re:

thanks!

while the 0 feedback is unsettling, at least it's not negative feedback. He just seems to keep relisting the same bike.

But if ebay is covering then I think its worth the risk.

thats really cheap for a newsboy, especially with that back brake.. but there might be a reason for that... checking the frame number against ashoks registry reveals it has been previously owned by someone in the US.

I'd advise contacting ashok & ask if he knows if the bike was sold to someone in Poland.

The multiple sales but no see through would seem to suggest he or a friend is shill bidding to bump up the price

Flights to Poland from the U.K. are cheap but I would be interested if he has the bike or he is simply using someone elses pictures in a fake sale?

It maybe legitimate but there is a lot looking shonky

Quick addition, we do have some Polish members, are any of them close to this address to have a look?

i asked him for an extra picture. At any rate, if the risk is going to be on ebay / paypal, then I don't mind. Worst case scenario is that I deal with claims paperwork for a few weeks.

I doubt the shill bidding - because there aren't any bids! If anything, I find it more suspicious that nobody else is bidding. Possibly he might cancel the sale because he isn't getting a good enough price. Right now it seems to me that he is just an ebay newbie, and is having a hard time getting around the zero feedback barrier.

Re:

well, its a scam.

he's been a member since march 2015. thats more than enough time to set up a paypal account.

Hello again,

No, I don't have a paypal account yet. I just spoke with paypal representatives and they told me it will take around 2-3 weeks for me to actually receive the money. They said that the money will reach my paypal account instantly but I will have to send them a lot of paperwork for verification and lifting the limits of my account. I am not prepared to wait that long to receive the money for something that I sold today, I am very sorry. Please proceed with payment to my bank account .
Thank you,
