Hi there, I've got a shed find 1989 Diamondback Arrival. It's too nice to turn into a commuter hack so I thought I'd offer it up here. It's got an Alu frame, Shimano Deore mechs, cranks, headset and Shimano Mountain LX STI thumbies. White turbo saddle with black perforations. Size 19.5" C-T seat tube, 22" top tube. Fork is 1" threaded.

That, sir, is lovely. It's also steel. :xmas-wink:

Are you sure about that? I thought these were one of the earliest ally frames, makes it a bit of a find I'd say!

I'll agree with you on the lovely though ;)

That's going to get stripped I can see it now. Looks really nice though!

Good luck with the sale!

(if it does end up being stripped by you might be interested in a few things... forks and stem, turbo)

Bough the rebranded Centurion Arrival new in -88 and remember it had a very stout 7000 T6 aluminium frame. It was said to have won the first unofficial World Championships in 1987 or 88 befor UCI took over.

It's definitely alu frame, steel forks :xmas-big-grin:

I've got nothing against stripping it if anyone's after the bits - the alu frame is not going to be as big a draw now as it was bitd. I'll give it a week or so before I strip it, I'll let you know if I do Coomber
