Hello from Portugal...plan on doing some touring on this bike which I regularly use as an all rounder. All parts are original, but I am finding the STI integrated shifter/brake levers, especially the front 3x (28-38-4
a pain to operate up from 38 to 48 ( I have small hands and shortish thumbs) as the span is too much. Reaching the brake lever too. The bike I bought in UK Feb 91 and the front brake was on the RH side. Over here when having a sevice at my LBS the mechanic told me the brakes were the wrong way round and changed the front brake cabling to the left lever. Does this make any difference or is it just a UK vs Europe roads thing?
Anyway, is possible to change to separate shifters or would it mean changing the whole groupset??
