Hello I posted on this thread in February 2015...I used to ride a steel 853 Implant (sold on here) which was approx 15-16" , so ruled it out at the time...however also used to be ride a 19" DeKerf TeamSL which got destroyed in a bad crash.

reviving an ancient thread. Has anyone ever tried putting a 27.5 wheel into one of these frames? I know it would fit, but how big of a tire would safely get in there? I did the same thing on a 2005-ish 26" Kona Kula recently and got a 2.1 with good clearance. Would this be the same? Specifically asking about the steel Implant as there is one available locally (sort of). That said, if you wan to dump this ti junker, just let me know!
