Just pondering what chainset to put on my Merlin Ti and it got me thinking as to whether I am bound by a square taper crank because of the bb shell being the non-threaded type.
Current plan is to install the standard 6903 bearings and a 17mm spindle, and a Shimano or Suntour crank.
But…
Are there other ways of fitting other cranks?
For instance say I wanted to fit later style ISIS type crank (not saying I will/do), or a Bullseye style crank (again, not saying I will/do), can it be done? And if so how?
