Coolest brake levers - opinions!?

Re:

Ugly is a bit harsh, marmite I think. Sometimes I like them, sometimes not. They are clones of the kcnc vb1 levers by the looks of them.

Got a set in blue but aest branded if anyone wants a pair.

^ ....yep cool. No doubt some of it is overly complicated to the point of being incomprehensible ;)

Would certainly not win in any cool awards straight out of the box, but I do like the rather clean lines of Acera / Alivio BL-MC16 - a basic solid design which Shimano are still dusting off and tweaking.

I have a pair which work great and hopefully will find time to get them like this:

All the best,
Agreed these are THE coolest here
Never heard of them and can’t find a website nor any used ones
Any more info?

Long gone now, started 1997 bankrupt in 2000, so now only exisits in the Wayback Machine...and in the hearts of mad French product designers of a certain age

The brake lever were second fiddle to the EGS shifters and rear mech set.
The whole system was designed to operate both front and rear shifters in sequence with just one twist shift, and ran a horizontal jockey wheel cage...
More info on my 2015 thread here: http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewto ... it=trinity

The RH brake lever mounts directly to the shifter, while the LH one has a more conventional hinged clamp round the bar.

Mine is from '99, the earlier version appears to have had two different pivot positions to cover canti and V-brake pulls:

All the best,

Mustn’t forget these Avids
What model are they?

I believe they are Ultimate SL ‘s

Thanks. Just picked up a bike with some fitted and wasn’t sure. I think the brakes themselves are supremes so that kinda makes sense.
