Cook Bros. Racing: Does anyone know why the E Crank series was named "E"?

I'd like to hear some opinions.

Really not sure but after the CBR and RSR dogbone designs they were famous for, the E crank was a vast departure away from them both, possibly Evolution??
I believe the F series was so called as it was forged, not that it helps any.
