Hi guys.
I've just built up a computer with the following specifications:
Windows 8 64 bit
Mobo - Asus M5A78l-m/USB3
CPU - AMD FX 6100
GPU - Asus HD 6670 1GB DDR5
Ram - 1x 4GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Low Profile Jet Black, PC3-12800 (1600)
The rest is just generic.
CPUZ is displaying all 6 cores and all running fine.
The issue I'm having is that under Windows Task Manager CPU it is only displaying 3x Cores and 6x Logical Processors.
Is this correct? I've tried everything to get it to display 6 cores.
I've tried:
1) Updated the BIOS from 1401 to 1503
2) Fresh clean install of windows 8 using a new hard drive
3) Disabling core parking by using Regedit - 0cc5b647-c1df-4637-891a-dec35c318583
4) Changed BIOS cpu settings to manual and 3/4 & 5/6 cores activated
5) Easy BCD core limit to 0
6) Msconfig
Is there something I'm missing or is windows task manager never actually going to display all 6 cores? If it's not displaying them is it at least using them?
Thanks in advanced!
