Here we go again.

After finishing my Kona muni-mula i have decided to give my more modern bike a bit of a upgrade as it needs a lot of attention and was looking very tired.

I am going to save what i can but will be purchasing a SLX X10 group sett. The bike has been striped of parts and had some TLC as well as the forks.

Its surprising what a bit of T-cut, paint touch up and some polish can do. :shock:

I have cleaned up the front end tonight. i must say i am well impressed with the FSA headset it looked like it had been in there for a decade but has cleaned up well.

SLX 10 speed group set fitted.

Fitted her out with Nuke Proof grips, seat post, seat and pedals.

Not very retro but it needed the upgrades as i was spending all my time and money on the Muni-Mula.

I really really like these. Just look right. Funny how a few manufacturers have near identical frames like this - Diamondback actually have a few which look quality and the same (dont worry they are expensive dont be fooled by the name).

Yours cant be one of the years where they had lots of cracking problems on these?

I am led to believe that it was the 07/08 models that had the problems. Commencal had sorted it out by the 2009 model. Even now people say to me BEAUTIFUL BIKES BUT SH*T WELDS. :shock: When i purchased this bike it was marketed as a true all mountain bike, it may be a little heavy but this bike still gives me a big grin when i pass people on the ups and the downs.
