With a very heavy heart I am selling my C40 due to health problems. Blood cancer and the subsequent treatment have permanently damaged my red blood cell factory so my haemoglobin is pretty low leaving me reliant on e-bikes to keep cycling with friends. This C40 dates from 2003 and is the B stay version 3. It is almost perfect....never crashed or dropped and only very minor chain slap marks on the chainstay. I fitted new forks about four years ago supplied by Colnago to lift the cockpit and suit my ageing body! Groupset is the very rare 7800 Dura Ace 10 speed triple with long cage rear mech. Wheels are Hope hubs on Mavic Open Pro rims, 32 spoke. Bars and stem are Ritchey, saddle is Rolls SAN Marco Titanium. I guess the bike has travelled no more than 300 miles in the last four years and, hard though it is, selling it wil help fund a new ebike which makes more sense. What else can I say? The Colnago C40 is one of the iconic bikes ever made and (I believe) has more professional wins than any other. Looking for £1550ono.
