Cobra Cycles of Preston, Lancashire

Chris T.

Retro Newbie
Bought this off the ‘Bay yesterday evening and collecting it on Sunday.
It’s a Cobra Cycles of Preston, Lancashire, UK road bike with a Reynolds 531 frame and fork built by Paul Riley who is now the frame builder for Hetchins.
Mudguard eyes on the fork and Columbus rear dropouts.
Campagnolo Chorus chainset, derailleurs and brake callipers with Nuovo Tipo hubs and Mavic MA2 rims, Cinelli handlebar and stem and a mysterious saddle and seatpost. The saddle looks like a Brooks B15 Swallow but with a couple of extra rivets. No idea what the seatpost is.
Anyone else know?
Guessing this was built late 80’s early 90’s
