Clockwise or anticlockwise on a french thread?

Chaps ive got a french thread Campagnolo crankset, can someone please tell me the direction to unscrew the lefthand side crank pedal, is it clockwise or anticlockwise?

Older french versions are righthanded threads

Not sure that's right; French bottom brackets are RHS both sides, pedals as far as I know have the familiar right / left threads like all other types.
