Cinelli 1A and 1R in black

Does anyone know approximately what year Cinelli started doing the 1A and 1R stems in the black finish? The black versions seem to be a bit more readily available as NOS than the silver ones, but I'm keen for something that is 1984 or earlier. Can't see any reference on Velobase.

I left for uni in 1978 and I am almost certain that there were no black ones then Shaun

Not much help but I had a black 1A on my low pro and that was in 1986.

i'm guessing that the black stems came out in 1985 - i can vividly remember seeing them in the bike shop back then and vanderaerden et al using them in the panasonic raleigh team too.
