As in the price

As in £200 PLUS for just the front hub. Rear price is too ridiculous to show, there'd be coffee everywhere

Sorry but no way a simple piece of cnc alloy is worth £200 when other makers are a 1/4 the price. All the machinery and tooling is in place so must only be about 40 to make, likely less.

Hope - £60 is fair enough.

CK near 4x that ? I'm of the opinion anyone buys a ck these days needs checked for an undiagnosed psychiatric illness :?

I was going to say - na they'er not that much... bu holy smokes, they are, over $600 locally, when I bought my headset 3 years ago was $180, not 220-250... yikes.

Are they really that much better than others such as cane creek top end stuff? I’ve been tempted by a used one a few times for the keepers.

Re:

I have a rear one but only because it was the only 150mm 28h hub I could find. I would have happily spent less on a hope one if I could have.

Definitely looks a bit like a US/UK thing:

US: King: $460, Phil Wood: $430, Onyx: $445, Kappius: $499-699, Industry9: $575
UK: Hope: £145, Goldtec: £220, Superstar: £120-180, Rideworks: £220.

Rear disc hubs. Only Royce look like outliers. Paul's are pretty good price, but no cassette hubs.

All the best,
