Castellano silk Ti frameset ,price drop

This is my wifes bike,a Castellano silk Ti soft tail with flat plate chainstays and 2” of rear travel.I bought it for her birthday but she prefers her full sus.The frameset was made to order as are all silk ti’s and cost £2700 less than 4 years ago.I would like £1100 for the frame which is absolutely beautiful though a little dusty in the photo.I know this is expensive but these frames are made to order and very rare

sorry should have pointed out this is a mountain bike frame ,and takes 26” wheels though it is currently fitted with 700c wheels which also fit ,the image below shows it set up mtb

I'm guessing this is a re-badged Ibis?

hello hotwheels,Ibis produced a few bikes ,the szasbo and their version of the silk ti,they licensed it from John Castellano who designed them,the titanium versions were then built by steve potts ( this one included )one of the founding members of Wilderness trail bikes.So without being pedantic ibis licensed Castellanos design and rebadged it “ibis”.
WTB did the same with their Bon Tempe,I have one of these,Steve potts reckons he only made 10 or so ,ever. So pretty rare.
You are right though,ibis did a version but this is the original.

my pleasure,I find this stuff interesting ,and I do like nice bikes,it was also nice speaking to steve and John about the evolution of the mountain bikes and the way they build titanium frames,then me and wifey and and my mates go out and smash them all to bits ha ha

Just seen this on Pinkbike still. What’s the seat tube and top tube measurements?

Always fancied a soft tail.
