Carrera Hellcat. Any info?

Ive just bought this for £90 off eBay and was wondering if anyone has any info on this particular frame. Other frames I have found look different. The owner said it bought it somewhere between 99-01. Any ideas? Thanks

Ive seen a couple of 2001 for sale but completely different frame and groupset.

Thanks. I did do a search but for every 1 picture I found of mine, I found 20 of the other later frame all saying year either 1999/2000. Also I haven‘t found a link that actually works that gives any other information. Was hoping someone on here might have personal knowledge of the original specs.

I think you’re going to be out of luck, Halfords website (launched in 2000) was, like their approach to most things….shockingly bad. Little or no information has survived on the way back machine archive. Check the blue logo and graphics, old school!

Was there anything in particular you wanted to know? With respect, it was a fairly cheap, low end bike at the time. Il sire yours looks pretty much what I'd expect it to be spec build

I was surprised by it tbh. It was lighter that what i expected and didn’t seem too low a spec for an old Carerra. Deore LX here and there. FSA headset etc. I bought the bike to break as i wanted the wheels, tyres for another project as skin/tan wall tyres are very overpriced at the minute.

It came with a pair of good condition Mavic X221 wheels with a pair of Tioga Psycho tyres and an IRC Mythos XC tyre, all 26x1.95. It also came with new boxed chain, cassette and a couple of other bits that made it worth buying (for me). The other stuff i know little to nothing about. For instance :-

Grimeca Hydraulic brakes
Grimeca hubs on the X221 wheels
AP57 Crankset
RST-22 rear shock.
Zokes Pro Forks
Weird Selle Royal saddle

I’m questioning now whether to break it or use it as a runaround?
