Carlton road bike from 1978

Retro Newbie
I'm new to the forum and after some advice on my Carlton road bike. I've dated the frame to 1978, handbuilt in Worksop, but don't know the model. Does anyone know?
I've had it over 20 years, commuting on it regularly. Apart from the Stronglight chainset and Weinmann brakes on the original, it was all Campagnolo parts, but I've replaced the chainset, BB and rear derailleur with Shimano Ultegra as things wore out and 105 brakes that work.
With some reluctance I've decided to put it on Ebay this week, as I could do with the room and I've 5 other bikes.

Could come up quite well this one, interesting lugs which although different, still retain a look of the (by then) dropped Crespera type.

Carlton Competition. They used those Feature-Cut Bocama lugs one year on the Competition model. Also, if it's made of 531 throughout but has kind of a squashed-tubes rear brake bridge (an economy feature - no reinforcement brazings), it's a competition. See the last page of this catalog, the frame-only competition in Lilac matches your frame : http://carltoncycles.uk/1977-catalogue/ Also, the 1979 catalog offers a color called "space blue lustre" which is probably your color : http://carltoncycles.uk/1979-catalogue-2/
