can't decide which frame of the 3 (link to pics in the end)

Retro Newbie
hi all, new here and loved to browse around the forums so far. Now time to post.

I ride a 1996 Gary Fisher Aquila with a frankenstein mix of shimano parts. Recently someone gave me a 1997 Trek 920 singletrack in nice condition. On top of that I got an, excusez le mot, 1996 Giant Boulder Alu lite frame.

I also got a pile of better parts than the current ones, including a nice Rond Magura 2-stroke fork which i'm planning to use and a classic early 90s Rock Shox Mag 21 (but that one is 1" and for now useless).

Now my question. I can't decide what will be my main bike.

'96 Gary Fisher Aquila
lovely characteristic frame but way too small (17.5" and i need 19/20").

'97 Trek 920
also characteristic but a bit heavy (although the triple butted oxely temper II). My size and i like the geometric. A bit small seat post (27.2) with oldskool clamp (read: no clamp but screw).

'96 Giant Boulder
very light, almost my size (half an inch to an inch to small) but come on.. a Giant... and even worse: a boulder.

Some of the parts I'm going to use are a 1997 XT RD, the Rond Magura 2-stroke, a Mavic 230TIB or X221 weelset and some other Shimano frankenstein mix (LX v-brakes, Deore 9spd ST-M510).

As you can see, whatever the outcome it won't be a beauty nor original, but I have to start somewhere ;)

Looking forward to your opinions (don't be shy, I already know you guys don't like the Giant and the Trek ;))

I'd have to say sell all three and buy something a little more up-scale! 1 good bike is better than 3 average ones
