You know how it is, every now and again - usually at a time when N has gone way beyond N+1 and even you have been questioning your (own) sanity and you wish your shed had elasticated walls - along comes a bike in the free ads that slaps you in the face like a bit of home made banoffee pie.
Such it was with this little diamond. If this has been out more than a couple of miles I’d be very surprised. There is literally not a scratch on it, the rims are free of pad wear and the crankset is free of grease and wear. As would be expected of an unused bike this age the shifters are a bit gummed up and the front doesn’t operate but that’s a simple fix, when I get round to it. There’s a bit of rust on the stem and the alloy finish is a bit tarnished but apart from that it’s in amazing condition.
I wasn’t after a Cannondale and certainly don’t need it but just wanted to add it to the collection.
Hell, I sound like I’m making excuses here. ‘Nuff said.
