Can you sell used spokes?

Hi,

Can you sell used spokes or are used spokes not usable when building a new wheel?

Thanks

Sure. You can sell a half-eaten sandwich, but that doesn't make it right.

I would only use used spokes for my own private purposes, and would never sell them to anyone. :)

As above. Keep them in the shed for those times when you need to hook stuff out of pipes and the like. Also handy for making hooks for hanging stuff with.

Also good for making very small coat hangers from.

But they are good at getting stuff out from under the fridge when you drop things. ;)

I wouldnt sell them or you will get questions like this ebay seller had last year!

Absolutely superb questions in that thread! Especially the Guatamalan!

I must be a right sad git, but I reckon old spokes are dead useful around the garage and garden. They can be bent into any shape and aren't gonna rust. Use them as heavy duty 'twists' to tie things up with in the garden -they last forever. :D

Also the pins that secure a BOB trailer cost £5 a pair(!) to replace, and I get through a few, but they're basically just a bent bit of spoke. You can make two from a spoke.

Don't forget to save at least one to make using a chain tool a doddle!
