Yep, it's definitely a Shimano freehub.

Just looks a bit half arsed! Presumably they've put the Ti tube in to save weight. But they've not rounded the flange edges off?
 
Those chamfered edges of flanges are interesting detail that is not as usual. Definitely something that could help identification..
 
Looking again its a Shimano steel axle and locknuts isn't it? Presumably because the Shimano freehub uses ball bearings.
