Campagnolo c record sheriff star tubular wheelset

For sale I have a set of 32h Sheriff Star hubs (with campagnolo lockring) laced into Mavic mach2 cd tubular rims, front is radial with Sapim CX Ray spokes, rear is 2x with Sapim db. They are in decent condition but could do with a polish.

They came on a bike I bought but are too bling for my utilitarian ways.

These are different. Look at the hubs. They are Star shaped. So in your day they were still called c record sheriff stars.

High Flange, Low flange, short flange, large flange, the fun is endless.

The "sheriff's star" business sounds like an Americanism to me. I can't imagine too many Sheriffs were working at Campagnolo in the 80s somehow!

They have a limited appeal. Now if they were road hubs with QRs....
