Campagnolo 8 speed shifting options/alternatives

So, other than Icarus Bullet twist shifters (I’ve had a set and didn’t like them) or Icarus/Euclid thumbies (wanted but perhaps too rare/expensive) are there any other 3 x 8 speed options for flat bar mounting?
Or maybe a stem mount that Campagnolo down tube levers could be bolted to?
Any ideas?

Paul makes a mount for leaver shifters. They're expensive but they make them. Also there is a variety of less expensive friction shifters. So long as they are friction and not indexed they should work.

Yeah I had thought about friction shifters but then that kind of defeats the point as the bike I’ve got this in mind for is a road frame with indexed Campagnolo down tube levers.
I’ve posted my question here rather than on the road section because I’m assuming more people here will have mucked about with other thumbies/shifters to operate campy 8sp

you need campagnolo pull levers, everything is shimano biased - the campag dt levers may also be to fat to fit bar mounts

a cheap set of Sunrace/ Sturmey Archer thumbies may work as their levers are a bit bigger - a bit of manipulation may get the campag dt to fit

Unless I’m reading their compatibility chart incorrectly, I can’t find an option that will allow non-campy 8sp shifters to operate a campy derailleur on a campy 8sp cassette?
I think I’ll email them.

These are the combo’s the Shiftmate 1 can do;
– Shimano 8, 9 & 10 speed shifters & derailleur to Campagnolo 8, 9 & 10 speed cassettes
– Campagnolo 8, 9 & 10 speed shifters & derailleur to Shimano 8, 9 & 10 speed cassettes

I can’t find anywhere where it helps Shimano 8s levers to operate Campy derailleurs on campy cassettes
