Oh how I like to stir the pot, I’ve only ever used brake cable housing for gears too! My shifting is sh** hot always 
Over the years I have always just bought brake cable housing in bulk, as only ever used zaskars which have very straight cable runs for the gears and brakes
Am I missing out anything
