Love the old school style with masses of post too, looks so 'right' on a mtb.

Breezer Vortex cranks were built in 93 for the Cloud 9.
Only 53 were built.
Handmade from steel.
Very filigran.

any reason those cranks look so similiar to the steel IRD cranks?

The interloc cranks comes later.
They are "designed by Joe Breezer".
The first series is brazed by Scott Nichol.

Both Vortex models were designed by me. I essentially sold the rights to make them to InterLoc.

The original Vortex cranks had a round, tapered cross-section and a machined spider. The later version had a cross-section that was more square and an investment-cast spider. Both are made of chrome-moly steel.
