Breezer 1 tribute build

I made a faux Brooks B-72 saddle for the Breezer 1 tribute. Real ones are expensive and worn out. I used a worn out real one and the top of a Chinese knock off.
Here is the worn out B-72 guts donor.

Brooks guts too long. I cut and shortened the Brooks springs. Welded the springs back shorter.

I made my own seat sandwich so a modern seat post would work on the Brooks double springs. Real ones machined out of aluminum are too expensive so I welded up one made from steel kick stand braces and welded in channels for the spring rails. Cheap is good but I had a lot of time during the lock down. A faux Breezer 1 needs a faux Brooks seat with a faux seat sandwich. 99B39E6F-B82F-460D-8ABA-55A650C12EB4.jpeg 366886D1-5238-4C78-B71A-DD2A51D8036D.jpeg 8145A751-F99C-41BA-99B8-189974BF9BC4.jpeg

Hell of a project! I love that your shakedown ride was a 50k race o_O

Still my eyes couldn't stay off those Triumphs. At one point I had a 67 TR6R and then later a 64 T100SC...always wanted a pre unit though. Those need a thread of their own somewhere.
