Unusual one for me too. Looks well made.

At a guess, would a Freewheel remover - the type with the square pegs - fit into the recesses?

Hello

There is a pic of this BB on google images if you search vintage suntour cartridge bottom bracket. For some reason i think it is Suntour. The image is on parktool.com under bottom bracket service: cartridge type. The page doesnt say this is a suntour BB mind.

It shows tool being used and a lockring.

Does anyone have any idea about this bottom bracket - manufacturer?

Guessing the vintage is 1991/2 based on the age of the frame.

Is the Frame an Orange..?
