Bike-Tech Japy from 1992 (one of 75)

Hi folks ;)

I wanna show you another bike from my collection... a very rare Bike-Tech Japy from 1992.

Bike-Tech was a german brand created by Markus Storck (Storck Bicycles). The dark yellow Japy was made from Tange Prestige Ultimate Ultrastrong tubing and were welded in Japan by Toyo.

The Japy was limited to 75 pieces worldwide and came with a Tange Struts fork, XT and Ritchey Logic components and Onza Porcupine blackwall tires. My frame comes in 18.5". Bought it as a frameset in around 2001 and rebuild it with vintage parts. It took me months to find all the missing parts.

Hope you like it ;)

Very similar to Rocky Mountains and I know other designs are also.
Toyo would be the link there. :)
(Summit RL would be the closest)
I think @Thias had the sloping tube design in a this nice yellow. I came across it again a few weeks back.

P. S if any one has any catalogues (we have the 1993) then..

Nice pedals and keeping the sticker on too :-)
Booster to enhance the look :-)
I like it.

That’s a nice bike. I had a Bike Tech Hikari many years ago. Frame was built by Toyo and was Tange Ultrastrong tubing. Cool bikes. I had the privilege of meeting Marcus Stork a while back. He told me about his involvement in some pretty cool Frame designs with small US companies. Tubing spec design etc.
