Just stopped for lunch and a catch up - never a dull moment in BotM! Probably got a bit of editing to do when I have time but I will say that this months Zaskar and last months C-26 aren’t comparable. A (pre 97) bike which has a some tubes replaced due to rot and has then been repainted and finished with genuine period correct parts is eligible. Whilst last months C-26 doesn’t fit that bill entirely it is in the same vein, I won’t discuss the provenance of the carbon tubes here. The lovely Stumpjumper reissue would not be eligible. The reissue Zaskar, whilst also lovely, is also not eligible. I’d welcome a rebirth of the post 97 BotM competition but I personally don’t have the time to run it.

More than happy for you to delete my posts and entry so people can focus on the thread rather than me and dinnerman argueing. Can I submit a different bike then ?

Of course you can :)

Since entry #1 has been reposted by MK one and entry #3 has been debated to death and filled six pages here's entry #2

Yeah and cable run is cool, also bonus points imo for the Deore headset text positioning...

Me Too, I have only just realised that d8mok has his GT lightening in the Same Competition as the Yeti C-26, had I realised this was his gripe and the point he was making I would have seen the writing on the wall with all his deliberate derailing of the competition. MY bad.

And Dom, I would love to take you out to dinner.... ;) We could discuss the merits of the Yeti C-26 and why I never even saw your bike in the line up...as I say, MY bad...

is it that bad :?:

its just a lively debate that kinda got a bit hot towards the end - no ones died

Well as I got a mention a couple of pages ago:

Think of the yeti as odd Bod junior. Generated from an original finger of odd bod. So has the essence and provenance leading back to the original odd bod/bike.

The GT is a copy. Somebody last week watched carry on screaming and bought a boiler suit and some makeup and boots and a wig, dressed up and called themselves odd bod.

Frying Tonight!

That enough!...Stop frightening the natives!

Another thread detonated without my input! So who's going to have a big strop and bugger off to Facebook this time?

Christ! Am I now going to have to enter a bicycle just to make up the numbers again?

Ok
