Seconded ,Big up to Si ,Gil ,and the rest of the organising team for a great weekend ,hope the Dalby visit went well, sorry for the early departure but was aching in places I'd forgotten I had this morning ,see you at the next one.
pps even bigger up to the team of specialists (bodgers)who put my back wheel and drivetrain back into good working order only for me to come off on the next timed section and remove the brake lever bolt.

Had a ride at Dalby with JV, Tim, Gil and Mark on Friday and only tickled the fringe of the woods. It was great.

Hope all of you had a great time. Would have loved to of been there, but a works function and the wifes hair appointment put paid to that :roll:

Ditto that! As a Retromeet virgin, I had a fantastic time (although somewhat short-lived!) and met some great folks! Got to get myself to the Peaks Meet now!

Highlights of the Saturday:

1) Ed's (Orange71) huge stack at the bottom of the 2nd timed downhill
2) Darren's (Bibby) full-on retro get-up
3) General helpfulness of everyone mucking in & lending tools for all manner of mechanical issues
4) The weather! Scorchio!

phew - just back - what a weekend... plenty of stories to unfold, including further top bodges today!!

Off to have hot bath...

Bike is clean and refettled. Rider is clean but might take a bit longer to fix

Thanks to everyone for the organisation and cracking riding and great to see some proper retro jewellery getting a thrash.

Now if only someone could instruct me in the art of riding in an upright position...... I seemed to spend an inordinate time horizontal
