Looking for advice on 90 sealed bottom brackets, I've never used a vintage sealed bb, alway bought fairly cheap Tange ones to replace bearing bb's.....i belive the quality of 90's parts were superior compated to most of todays...but does this apply to bb's.
I'm looking at function rather than correct spec of a bike.

Or any recomendations on modern aternatives.

Ive not yet seen a proper dead shimano un71, un72. They may develop some radial play but just keep going.
Stronglight jp400 are a similar item.
Both of those examples are easy enough to get hold of.
