bar ends and rapid fire shifters

I've seen someone with them on some of those short x-lite ski bend ones before now. The ones with the welded on angled tip.

this is for something on my recumbant,im not happy with the way they route at the mo and was toying with the idea of fixing barends on the steering tubes to off set the angle a bit better.right now they are hard to use and it needs to change.......
