Reluctant sale of a bike I love but am realistically not going to use any more.
I've owned this frame from new, purchased some time in the early 2000's. I recently pulled it out of the shed and rebuilt it into a dirt jumper but I'm finding that it is just too small for me at 6ft 1" so I'm hoping someone else can enjoy it.
The frame had some wear in the seat and chainstays from running too large tyres so I've had this repaired by a local engineering firm. You can see the repairs in the photos.
The frame also has plenty of scratches. I had a quote of £50 to get it stripped and powder coated but in the end I quite enjoyed the character of it so I left it. If you wanted to do that I'd be happy to take care of if if you pay the extra.
Classic parts:
* Fork: 2004 Marzocchi Z1 Drop Off, fully serviced and lowered to 100mm travel. I have the parts you need to put this back to the original 130mm if you like but I think it rides better at 100mm on this bike.
* Wheels: Mavic D521 rims on Shimano XT hubs. I've converted the hubs to a bolt on axle but will also include the QR parts if you'd rather run it with gears again.
* Seatpost: Titec
* Headset: Cane creek
* Pedals: DMR v12
Brand new parts:
* Schwalbe Billy Bonkers tyres
* SRAM SX crankset (170mm, 30T)
* DMR single speed conversion kit
* SRAM Level T brake, SRAM centerline 160mm rotor.
* Deity Copperhead stem
* Nukeproof Dolos 50mm rise bar, uncut at 780mm width
Used but modern parts:
* A YT branded SDG saddle
* ODI Longneck lock on grips
I will also include a bag o' original parts that were taken off the bike which may or may not be useful including:
* A Hayes disc brake in need of a lot of love.
* Another crankset (Hussfelt, probably about 2010)
* Tioga Factory tyres, one Factory DH and one white tiger
* A chain device
* Tioga cube stem
* An old DMR saddle
* LX rear mech, casette and STX RC shifter
* One XT V brake
