I ordered a frame from China at the end of May.The tracking number gives no info and when I contacted the seller they said that everything is(understandably)held up with the sh1t sandwich that is covid. Its 3 months now, should I be concerned? The seller is reputable with huge feedback numbers.Has anyone bought a frame from there recently?

Re:

I've ordered wheels, a groupset, and several other parts from China, the groupset I ordered the end of June and it only arrived last week, the rest of the bits only took a few weeks to arrive at most.
3 months seems like a long time to me, quite often things will arrive in the UK and be held up at customs for another few weeks though.

Where/what platform did you order from?
The lack of tracking info would concern me, I'd be contacting the seller, and opening a "case" or whatever method is used to formally start the complaints/refund process.

Re: China

Why would anyone buy this cheap shit.

Plenty of decent stuff available elsewhere.

Hardly deserving of the forum imho.

I ordered through a legit shop,I just sent them a message with ref and tracking numbers stating if it isnt resolved asap I will start a pp case.If I get no satisfactory reply tomorrow I`ll open a pp case.

Lots of drop shippers that never actually supply the goods and never intend too! Research the seller as best you can before proceeding.

You do realise that their factories now produce some decent stuff ?

Branded stuff will be just sometimes rebadged and from the same factory but with a premium added.

Some of the Ti frames available for such little money direct make so much sense. I researched it to death when buying a Ti gravel bike but went with a brandEd name . And honestly it was purely because I wanted that brand)

The seller is definitely legit, its a huge shop with tasty titanium and carbon frames and bits and bobs.I got a set of carbon forks from them last year and am well pleased with them, they took over a month and a half to arrive.I`ll see what they say tomorrow.

Say what you want, but it's all cheap Chinese crap.

Good counter argument......

Anyway , when I was looking to buy a frame around April the shipping times were quoting 4-5 months due to covid. This was from Walty. Not sure who the OP has used.
