Here's a picture of my 1950s Radiomobile 4260 (Smiths) which I have had converted to receive FM and work with an iPod through 4 x 50w channel amp. I haven't fitted the valve unit because it takes a lot of space in the engine bay and would be purely cosmetic anyway.

I can remember having a Muntz 12 track player in my mother's 504 when I was in high school. That would have been shortly after electricity was invented.
