sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet, ive a correct period cd player for my rs2000, unfortunetly the xr2 has no stereo at all, but he sound of carbs makes up for it lol. love the look of old headunits, new ones all look plasticy and pap. 8 ntrack in a mk1 cortina gt is kinda were id love to be...........no 90's jungle on 8 track tho lol

I installed my ICE to the K70 last year. It only ever plays pre '74 tunes too. It also sounds suitably crap.

My favourite was an audioline that lit up green when the radio was on and orange when the cassette was on (or viceversa)

It broke and when I took it back to currys for repair they lost it, I was gutted :(
 
I always put period radios in my classics. I also fit modern systems with ipod docking in the gloveboxes and hide away the modern speakers.
My interceptor has its original Learjet 8 Track/AM/FM radio and I have a mint Becker Mexico to go into the Alfa when its finished.

as long as you have a cassette player, you dont need modern kit, just one of these:

earliest I can remember is Pioneer M500 pull out (i think)
and a Pio centray pop of front but im talkin RS turbos and
your talkin cars before i was a twinkle in my dads eyes!
