I have 3 sets of Shimano XTR M965 wheels - with free hubs that are starting to fall apart and trying to find bits and pieces is very difficult.
The rest of the wheel sets are are good - it is just the free hubs that seem to give out.
I have tried cannibalising other similar hubs - but it seems that the internal parts are all very slightly different. For example there is a 4 slot locking ring on the top of the free hub and it is different to the 3 slot on the M765. Lots of washers etc don't seem to work when spacing out the internals / innards of the free hub.
Does anyone have a knackered M965 hub that I can raid bits off - or a spare hub. Don't really want to pay the circa £110 that people seem occasionally to be selling them for.
Any help would be gratefully received.
