Any information on the late eighties Mountain LX groupset?

I was just coming back to ask what it was going on. A big standard boring choice is a Spesh stumpjumper, a nice Saracen or a more exotic Rocky Mountain Hammer or Kona of some sort or a Marin?

That Olmo could cope with XC Pro too.

I still have a long winter to think about it. The Olmo originally came with XT but I bought it as a half-mutilated bike so it needs a respray first.
Thanks for your response!

Mountain LX is a lovely groupset, a one year only product that paved the way for the Deore LX series, the brake levers were as is pointed out, from the Exage range but alloy clamp body and solid rubberised lever blades that make it so much nicer than any of the lower exage units, if I remember right its the euro exage mountain lever combos that were better than that bio degradable plaggy stuff we had on the rockhoppers. it was also better shifting as the shifters are alloy fitting Clamp/brace and shift lever, again - similar to the euro exage.
