No idea what this is, think this one came to me in a pile of junk I traded a while back for a different pile of junk.

Its alloy and it has a double-barrel shaping to the bottom of the down tube.... what else... er.... top tube cable routing, canti hanger bridge is a bit sticky-outy, oh, and theres all sorts of stamping under the BB shell.

Ring any bells for anyone?

Re:

Hi not got a clue as to who may of built the frame but it doesn’t look like it’s cheaply made to me.
The numbers and letters on the bb before you get to the word basil are a post code stamp that comes up as Tyne and weir. Possibly a way of identifying the frame if it was ever stolen

Re:

Me again
Going further with the post code comes up up with the name Arthur Sullivan with an address of an industrial estate in South Shields Tyne and weir. The last time I saw something built like this was when I got to go into George Longstaffs back frame building room before they closed there doors. There was all manner of weird and wonderful frames hanging up in the that owners never came back for

postcode eh? wonder who Bazil B is / was?

So lets assume the S row is some sort of serial number, the bottom a security stamp. Makes sense I suppose.

But where the hell did you pull the name Arthur Sullivan from?

Re:

I just googled the post code and selected the first one upon the headings. Think it gave a list of 57 or so post codes but the one on your frame matched one of them down to the last letter.
Alternatively search on google for the name Arthur Sullivan with the post code as well, see if it comes up with the same address and name

I think he's added the IL and B for surname as maybe thought BAZ wasnt ID enough, Baz being an obvious nickname for Basil, and who wants to be called Basil  *

Less annoying pic added ;)

* No offence intended to anyone called Basil  Im sure its nothing to do with the parents being fans of John Cleese

Re:

What are your plans for the frame and what size is it. Any chance of a pic of what you call double barrelled to the down tube

You can sort of see it in the top and bottom photos. Once it stops raining (it will stop one day!) I'll get some better photos in the daylight.

No plans, it's just sort of in the way at present.
